7th Annual Ruff Riders Rally

Sunday, July 22nd (Rain or Shine)

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. Get your motor running... This motorcycle run is full of fun! Join Save-A-Pet as we hit the road raising money to care for rescued animals.

This year's event starts at Petco in Rocky Point: 345 Rte. 25A and will end at Hooters of Islandia: 3701 Expressway Drive North. There will be breakfast, lunch, raffles and live music.

Fur Ball

Thursday, November 15th at 7 pm

Join us for our annual dinner/dance fundraiser at beautiful Flowerfields in St. James. The evening will be filled with live music, dancing, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, open bar, dessert, and coffee. Save-A-Pet's famous Silent Auction and Raffles will all help raise funds for the animals.

Tickets are $100 per person. $50 of each ticket is tax deductible. All money raised at this year's Fur Ball will go directly to support the orphaned animals at Save-A-Pet.

At our Long Island animal shelter, we believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We provide spay and neuter services for Long Island feral cats and any necessary medical care for pets. We work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.

We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter 501c(3) organization located in the heart of Long Island, New York founded in 1994 by Dori Scofield. We are supported solely by public donations and every dollar makes a difference. Your support can save the life of a cat or dog. It is our intention to provide you with the most current and the latest information on our events and fundraisers.
