Scouts Tours: Bring your Boy/Girl Scout troop for a behind-the-scenes tour of our shelter. We often work with scout groups on various community service projects such as Bronze, Silver, Gold Award for Girl Scouts and Eagle Scout projects for Boy Scouts.

 

Daisy Troop 897, from Setauket Elementary School were given a tour of Save-A-Pet and a lesson about responsible pet ownership by Executive Director Lynne Schoepfer !

 

These 5 adorable girls had a lemonade stand to support Save-A-Pet and raised $70 !

 

Noah raised $459 by practicing the piano and donating the money to Save -A-Pet!

 

Sarah donated all sorts of goodies for the orphaned pets at Save-A-Pet for her Bat Mitzvah.

 

 

Girl Scout Troop 1524 built feral cat houses for their Silver Award.

On May 26, Julia Hanlon, Thomas Kennedy, Jack Hanlon and Ryan Russell of Port Jefferson Station sold lemonade to help raise money for Save-A-Pet. Thanks to these wonderful children for their help and support!

Julia raised more than $100 for Save-A-Pet for a class assignment.

Regan did a supply drive to help the orphan pets at our shelter.

Hayley, Hannah and Nina made fresh lemonade to sell to their neighbors. The girls raised over $100.00 to help the orphaned dogs and cats at Save-A-Pet.

John completes his Eagle Scout Project at Save-A-Pet.

Sarah held a lemonade stand and raised $120 that she donated to Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue.

Kaitlyn held a supplies drive for Save-A-Pet for the 3rd grade class at Hobart Elementary School in Shirley, NY. She wrote the principal a letter asking for his support, created a flyer to be distributed to 150 3rd graders, and brought home donations in her backpack every day for 3 weeks. Kaitlyn is pictured holding "Sandy."

Girl Scout Junior Troop # 191 and Cadette Troop # 654 from Setauket baked holiday cookies for the orphan dogs at Save-A-Pet.

 

 

Jordan, John and Jake had a lemonade stand to help the orphan pets.

Girl Scout Troop 326 held a food and supply drive for their Bronze Award, raising over $900 to help.

These girls brought in newspapers and towels which they gathered for donations for their Holy Cross' Level 5/Darlene's Group Community Service Project.

Maya raised $383 so far to help the homeless pets at Save-A-Pet.

Cara from Setauket organized a lemonade stand and cut out snowflakes that she sold to help the homeless pets at Save-A-Pet.

A big thank you to Ally, Jake, Shaina and Sammy who made dogs beds for Save-A-Pet. Two very lucky dogs are warm and cozy in their new beds!

Samantha did a supply drive to help our orphan pets.

 

Two local girls held a supply drive at Pet Supplies Plus to support Save-A-Pet.

Abby Bosert did her Bat Mitzvah project for Save-A-Pet. She donated baskets of goodies for our orphaned pets.

The Wildcats raised $135 for Save-A-Pet by making and selling baskets.

Charlotte donated the paper towels that she collected at school.

Orli saved her money from Tzedaka and donated the money to our homeless orphans

Troop 37 from service unit 18 donated kitten chow for our many adoptable kittens.

Jon Eric Miller completed his Eagle Scout Award at Save-A-Pet. He created a new kitty condo for our senior cat room and provided new shelving for our storage room.

For Anthony's 4th birthday, he had his friends each bring a roll of paper towels for Save-A-Pet. Pictured (from left-right) are Anthony and his brother Nicholas.

Julia donated this basket of goodies in honor of her becoming a Bat Mitzvah.

For her birthday party, Lauren asked for donations to Save-A-Pet in lieu of presents.

 

Food drive held by Matthew for his Infant Jesus Confirmation level community service project.

Cathy Huber's 6th grade religion class from Church of the Good Shepherd in Holbrook held a movie night to benefit the companion pets at Save-A-Pet. They collected over 100 cans of dog and cat food.

These two girls made and sold holiday cards to family and friends. All of the proceeds were donated to Save-A-Pet.

Jack and Atticus held a bake sale for Save-A-Pet and raised over $60.00.

These kids raised funds for Save-A-Pet with a lemonade stand. Thanks kids!

Kirstin loves animals very much and wants to be a veterinarian. She thought giving to animals that are not fortunate enough to have homes was a much better idea than favors for her upcoming communion. Kirstin was so impressed by meeting the animals that before leaving she asked when she could come back and visit again. Thanks Kirstin!
